This service is tailored to meet the needs of your school, its statutory duties and best practice.
• Development or review of school specific health and safety policy
• Develop or review of school specific general risk assessments
• Fire risk assessment review, first aid risk assessment or review, COSHH assessments and whole school stress risk assessment
• Curriculum support (policy and risk assessments)
• 3 x inspections per academic year (external areas, internal areas, fixed outdoor school play equipment or curriculum specific e.g. Science, PE and D&T)
• Access to an online health and safety management system which includes access to: a health and safety information library, risk assessment module, checklists module (inc. audits and inspections), an asset management module to assist with the management of statutory inspections
• Access to CREST’s website with links to inspection checklists, employee guidance documents, a range of induction checklists and stress and wellbeing information
• Annual health & safety audit
• Assistance with RIDDOR reportable accident investigation and reporting to the HSE where required
• Support with routine inspection of asbestos containing materials
• General staff training Powerpoint provided which covers (fire, lone working, manual handling, work at height, COSHH and work equipment/statutory inspections)
• Telephone and email support
• Termly newsletters, news articles and health/safety alerts (when necessary)
